Where to buy a piano and how much does it cost?

If your child starts studying at a music school, then it's time to think about purchasing a good musical instrument. From the proposed article you will find answers to such questions: where to buy a piano and how much does a piano cost.

Nowadays, an acoustic piano is rarely bought at home; preference is increasingly being given to digital analogs, especially for those who are learning to play the piano not as a major specialty, but as an additional instrument or simply at the level of amateur playing. This is not bad and not good, digital pianos and pianos except for their compactness, lightness and other amenities (for example, does not interfere with neighbors) have a number of their own advantages for learning music (read more about this in the next article).

However, if your child begins to study piano at a music school and you want him to succeed in this area, you still have to buy an acoustic piano (better piano). In this regard, a number of problematic issues inevitably arise, for example: how to choose a piano, where to buy it, and how much it will cost. Let's look at all these questions in order.

Where to buy a piano

Usually the piano is bought in one of these 4 ways:

- in the shop of musical instruments - The advantages of this method are obvious: you know, see and can touch what you are buying, and you are buying a completely new tool, plus you get warranty service for a certain period of time;

- in the online store - this is suitable for you if you intend to purchase an instrument of a strictly defined brand (in this case, it is also desirable that a dealer firm representative of the manufacturer of the piano of this brand works in your city);

- in service centers (usually they are engaged in the restoration of instruments) - the variant is not of the best (mass of pitfalls), unless the center directly cooperates with any of the piano factories, but, on the other hand, from them you can also get the instrument in excellent condition and warranty service service as a nice bonus;

- outbid the instrument private owner - the most common and cheap way, but here you must understand that the tool you choose will be far from new and its acquisition will remain your personal risk (of course, you will not be given any guarantees).

How much does the piano cost

We now turn to the question of what the price of a piano. There are a number of common installations: new instruments are more expensive than old ones (if they are, of course, not antiques, but you are not going to buy antiques for use), branded pianos are more expensive than simple factory instruments, imported instruments are more expensive than domestic ones. Now let's go through the same points that we considered when looking for where to buy a piano. So, if you buy a tool:

- in the shop of musical instruments - prices for pianos are usually 80-120 thousand rubles (a fairly reasonable price for a new instrument of normal quality), almost exclusively foreign brands are sold;

- in the online store - a variety of prices and opportunities knows no boundaries, the amplitude of prices - from 60 thousand to several millions rubles;

- in a dealership - buy at factory pricepretty expensive, because in this way expensive branded pianos are sold out;

- in the service center - more often from 20 to 150 thousand rublesit should be understood that you are buying, although restored, but still not a new tool, but with warranty service;

- private owner - domestic pianos sell from 0 to 20 thousand rubles (the owners, thinking about where to put the piano, which takes place in the apartment, are often ready to give it away for self-pickup), and import tools - a special article (on average 50-150 thousand rubles).

And finally, about brands. The cheapest and still most common are the Soviet pianos of the 70-80 edition of the Red October, Gamma, Elegy (these are not bad), the most expensive are the American Steinway & Sons and the German Bluthner, not very expensive good imported pianos - the Czech Petroff.
